Pro-Spec® Flexi-Seal Bathroom & Kitchen Silicone


PRO-SPEC FLEXI-SEAL BATHROOM & KITCHEN SILICONE is for sealing joints and gaps around baths, basins and sanitary fixtures, shower recesses and damp areas, commercial kitchens, dairies, hospitals and food preparation areas, any application where hygiene is important and most household sealing applications. It is a mould resistant acid (acetoxy) cure, medium modulus silicone sealant.


PRO-SPEC FLEXI-SEAL BATHROOM & KITCHEN SILICONE SEALANT has excellent adhesion and sealing properties to glass, ceramics, aluminium, laminates, enamel, porcelain, wood and some plastics. It contains a fungicide additive and is resistant to mould and fungus growth making the product particularly well suited to use in kitchens, bathrooms and other warm humid areas.

Technical Features

  • Mould resistant for use in damp areas
  • Excellent flexibility (joint movement capability ±15%)
  • Service temperature range –50ºC to +150ºC
  • Excellent adhesion to glass, ceramics, aluminium, laminates, enamel, porcelain, wood and certain plastics (Pre-test plastics and critical surfaces prior to use)

Application Tips

  • Not recommended for use on bare metals other than stainless steel or aluminium
  • Painting should be completed prior to sealant application as this sealant can not be painted over
  • Not suitable for aquariums or potable water containers
  • Not recommended for adhesion to cementious or marble surfaces
  • Not suitable for permanent immersion or in areas of high abrasion, e.g. walkways

Properly designed joint refers to the accepted concept of correct sealant dimensions, i.e. sealant depth equal to half sealant width and sealant applied over a suitable backing material which the sealant will not adhere to or which does not limit the free movement of the sealant.
