Kwik Grip Waterbased is a flexible contact adhesive ideal for bonding flat, close fitting surfaces. Forms a durable, heat and water resistant bond. It dries clear.

Uses

Kwik Grip Waterbased is designed for bonding a variety of materials, both absorbent and non-absorbent, e.g. laminated plastics (laminex, formica), MDF, wood, cork, rubber, metals, leather, canvas, fibrous cement sheet and polystyrene foam. It is ideal for hobby work. As it contains no organic solvent, it is suitable for bonding materials sensitive to solvent attack, e.g. polystyrene foams.

Application Tips

  • Drying time in cold, wet (highly humid) weather may be greatly extended
  • Not suitable for permanently damp or wet areas
  • Not suitable for polyethylene or polypropylene
  • Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C

Kwik Grip Advanced can be used as wet bond on absorbent surfaces such as timber, cardboard etc.

Drying Time

25-40 minutes. Maximum bond strength is achieved after 24 hours. *Drying time can vary according to temperature, humidity and surfaces being bonded. When the film becomes clear the adhesive is ready for contact bonding.

Cure Time

Maximum bond strength after 24hrs (depending on conditions)

Clean Up

Clean up application tools and excess adhesive with damp cloth & water before it dries
